About Me
I’m a mid-career learning and development professional who designs training that connects strategy, systems, and people.
My experience spans the full learning process, from needs analysis and stakeholder strategy to instructional design, facilitation, and educational technology. Because I’ve worked across each stage of the learning lifecycle, I’m able to design solutions that are not only engaging but practical, scalable, and aligned with real business needs. While I have extensive experience producing world class deliverables as an instructional designer and Learning Management System administrator, my value comes from my proven ability to connect as a trusted, strategic consultant and learning expert. My experience spans into internal communications, HR Operations, enterprise-wide change management, and more.
In previous roles, I worked in academic research studying conflict and airstrike campaigns during the Syrian Civil War, managing a small team of coders. During that time, I co-authored a paper published in Cambridge University Press exploring how psychological safety and experiential learning improve outcomes. In addition to my research and coding responsibilities, I trained and mentored team members, developed onboarding materials, and created learning resources to support the lab. That research background continues to shape how I approach learning design today, grounding my work in data-driven evidence, curiosity, and thoughtful problem solving.
Following my time as a Project Manager in the academic research role, I worked as a paralegal. The organization, time management, storytelling, and fact-finding skills from that role are ones I continue to use every day!
So, what is the common thread from research & academia, to law, and now to corporate learning and development? An obsession for finding and sharing the truth, meticulous methodology, clear processes, and fostering environments that provide equity and inclusion through opportunity, clarity, and an emphasis on strengths. In every role I’ve had from managing a team to proactively making job aids and onboarding packets at customer service jobs in high school and college, I’ve been drawn towards work that illuminates the unspoken rules and expectations in order to set employees up for success.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors with my rescue dog Gibby (also my favorite WFH coworker), volunteering at an equine therapy center, reading, swimming in the nearest body of water, or watching a movie by the fireplace. I love learning and trying new things. A motto I live by is “have the courage to suck at something new.” I’ve found this mindset and passion for learning directly benefit my work through creativity and diverse perspectives.
